Innovation-Driven University Management: Strategi Perguruan Tinggi Menghadapi Turbulensi Global

Artikel ini mengkaji innovation-driven university management sebagai strategi strategis bagi perguruan tinggi dalam menghadapi turbulensi global yang semakin kompleks dan tidak terduga. Turbulensi global yang ditandai oleh disrupsi teknologi, ketidakpastian geopolitik, perubahan iklim, dan pasca-pandemi COVID-19 telah menempatkan perguruan tinggi pada situasi VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity, ambiguity) yang menuntut reorientasi fundamental dalam manajemen pendidikan tinggi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode kajian pustaka dan analisis wacana kebijakan-manajerial. Kerangka teoretis dibangun secara tiga lapis: teori masyarakat pasca-kapitalis dan jaringan (Drucker, Castells, Schwab, Floridi) sebagai grand theory, teori entrepreneurial university dan open innovation (Clark, Chesbrough, Christensen & Eyring) sebagai middle theory, serta kepemimpinan transformasional dan tata kelola adaptif (Henkel & Ade, Murgatroyd, Gomez et al., Ukeje et al.) sebagai applied theory. Temuan utama menunjukkan bahwa perguruan tinggi memerlukan reorientasi manajemen melalui lima pilar innovation-driven: (1) kepemimpinan transformasional dan strategic agility; (2) arsitektur entrepreneurial university yang mengintegrasikan misi akademik dan kewirausahaan; (3) ekosistem open innovation dan kemitraan strategis multi-aktor; (4) infrastruktur transformasi digital yang berkelanjutan; dan (5) adaptive governance berbasis stakeholder co-governance. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa masa depan perguruan tinggi dalam turbulensi global tidak terletak pada pertahanan status quo tetapi pada kapasitas untuk terus berinovasi secara sistemik, dengan menempatkan inovasi sebagai inti manajemen institusional. Implikasi praktis penelitian ini adalah perlunya pemimpin perguruan tinggi mengembangkan kapasitas strategic foresight, kemitraan ekosistem, dan budaya inovasi yang terdistribusi di seluruh lini institusi
